CLEVELAND, Ohio – Multiple sweets and frozen treats have been recalled because they contain milk that was not declared on their labels, according to the Food and Drug Administration.
Tropicale Foods of Ontario, California, has recalled certain Helados Mexico and La Michoacana products. Though they include “cream” in the ingredient lists, the common name “milk” is not declared.
People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious reaction if they consume these products, which were distributed to retail locations nationwide.

The company conducted an audit of labels, which led to the recall. One consumer illness has been reported.
