COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State will host its first home game in just about a month on Saturday against Penn State, which means the Buckeyes will get a chance to host another crop of prospective recruits.
Expect it to be a big day on campus as Ohio State looks to bring a wide range of targets.
Here’s a look at which prospects will be in attendance:
2026 recruits
| Name, Pos. | School | Rank (Pos.) | Stars |
|---|---|---|---|
| Favour Akih, RB | Delaware B. Hayes (Delaware, OH) | No. 210 (No. 15) | Four |
| Brock Boyd, WR | Southlake Carroll (Tex.) | No. 504 (No. 75) | Three |
| Kevin Brown, OT | Harrisburg (Harrisburg) | No. 61 (No. 6) | Four |
| Danny Odem, CB | The First Academy (Fla.) | No. 181 (No. 19) | Four |
| Jay Timmons, CB | Pine-Richland (Pa.) | No. 136 (No. 17) | Four |
- The group of prospects visiting for Ohio State in the 2026 class is certainly interesting. With National Signing Day in just five weeks, there are a handful of targets on the board.
- Kevin Brown is a current Penn State commit, but with the uncertainty surrounding the Nittany Lions’ program after coach James Franklin’s firing, he’ll take a visit to Ohio State this weekend. The Buckeyes already have five pledges in the class.
- Nebraska commit Danny Odem, along with Florida State commit Jay Timmons, will take the trip to Columbus as well. Ohio State has just one commitment in its 2026 class at cornerback, Jordan Thomas, but is in search and need of a second one. The Buckeyes have a host of options, and those two could be that second pledge.

- Five-star running back Kemon Spell, fresh off a decommitment from Penn State, will take the trip to Ohio State. He’s one of the Buckeyes’ top targets at running back in the 2027 class, along with David Gabriel-Georges.
- Four-star wideout Khalil Taylor, another Penn State decommit, will take the trip to Columbus. The Buckeyes have a five-star pledge in Jamier Brown and are looking to add to that slot, along with five-star Kesean Bowman.
- It figures to be a massive day along the offensive line for Ohio State, as the Buckeyes and offensive line coach Tyler Bowen will host four-stars Kellen Wymer and Kalel Johnson and three-stars Mason Wilt and Patrick O’Brien. The Buckeyes will be in search of a big-time class.
- Most importantly, though, there’s five-star tackle Mark Matthews. He holds 30 offers and is the nation’s best offensive lineman in the 2027 class. Bowen and the Buckeyes will look to make an impression.
- Four-star defensive lineman Karlos May will also be on campus for the Buckeyes.
- In the secondary, Xavier Hasan will make the trip up from North Carolina. A top 50 prospect in the class, he’s one of the Buckeyes’ top targets.

| A’Mir Sears, CB | West Broward (Fla.) | No. 4 (No. 1) | Five |
- Ohio State won’t have a hefty crop of 2028 or 2029 targets, but running back commit Elijah Newman-Hall will be on hand. Running backs coach Carlos Locklyn will have running backs in the 2026, 2027 and 2028 classes on campus.
- Darieon Prescott, five-star edge rusher, is already physically imposing as one of the nation’s best defensive linemen. The Buckeyes will look to establish early contact here to build a relationship.
- Another top prospect, A’Mir Sears, will be on campus for the Buckeyes. He’s the No. 1 cornerback in the class, and though he’s just a sophomore, already has 33 scholarship offers.
