NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Country music star Jelly Roll is asking the NFL to bring more country music to the Super Bowl halftime show. He made his request Sunday during Grammy Awards weekend.
Jelly Roll told reporters he hopes a future Super Bowl will come to Nashville, Tennessee. Nashville is building a new stadium and could host the game one day. If that happens, he wants the halftime show to feature country music instead of other styles.
“The Super Bowl could possibly come to Nashville in the next three to five years — we’re getting a new stadium,” he said. “And I have a dream that they do a country music-themed Halftime Show, and maybe, perhaps, they’ll let me do a little 20 to 30 second thing in it.”
Jelly Roll mentioned many country stars he dreams of seeing on the Super Bowl stage. He named legends like Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton. He also mentioned newer stars like Morgan Wallen and Hardy.

Jelly Roll’s idea reflects a larger conversation about diversity in music at major events. His comments come as the music industry continues to discuss the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show, which will feature Bad Bunny, a popular artist in Latin music. Some music fans have talked about wanting more variety from year to year.
