DUBLIN, Ohio (WCMH) — A new development featuring a mix of apartments, retail and a hotel is in the early planning stages for a site north of Dublin’s Bridge Park.
The proposed project, tentatively named Bridge North, is a joint effort between Indus Hotels and The Daimler Group. The development would occupy several properties along Riverside Drive, between John Shields Parkway and Tuller Road, and is expected to include five buildings arranged around public green space and pedestrian pathways.
“In building from the amazing destination that Bridge Park is to Dublin, as well as its national recognition, the development will in many ways mirror that of our neighbors and appear as an extension of what has been so successful to date,” said Paul Ghidotti, president of Daimler, in a release.
Plans for the site include a 150-room hotel, about 280 residential units, street-level retail and restaurant space, as well as offices. A parking garage with about 600 spaces is also part of the proposal.
While the project sits adjacent to Bridge Park, a well-known dining and entertainment area developed by Crawford Hoying, the developers noted that Bridge North is a separate undertaking with no formal affiliation to its southern neighbor.
Indus Hotels is currently under contract to acquire the site. Daimler, which will lead design and construction, said the intent is to create a walkable district complementing existing development in the area.
“Bridge North will be a vibrant, connective and walkable community — a fantastic complement to the successful Bridge Park area,” said Bob White Jr., Daimler CEO, in the release. “Additional office space for one of the most vibrant office markets in the region, in addition to retail and restaurant options, are currently being marketed for new tenants.”
The development process is still in early stages, as the proposal will need to be reviewed by Dublin’s planning and zoning commission before seeking final approval by city council. If approved, construction could begin in 2026, with phased openings anticipated starting in 2028.
