BAINBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, Ohio –
Crash, Pettibone Road:
Shortly before 1 a.m. Dec. 12 police responded to a crash in the parking lot of Parkside Church where a 17-year-old Solon boy crashed into a utility pole while performing suspected stunts on the slippery surface. EMS checked him for injuries but did not transport him for further care. The boy did not have a driver’s license. Police cited him for driving without a license and reckless operation on private property.
Theft, Market Place Drive:
Ulta Beauty contacted police Dec. 13 reporting that at 7:40 p.m. Dec. 11 a woman wearing a mask entered the store and stuffed a tote bag full of items plus filled a garbage bag half full of merchandise valued at more than $2,000. Police are investigating the incident.
Theft, Market Place Drive:
Officers responded to a 3 p.m. Dec. 19 call from Walmart’s loss prevention officer. They detained a man, 35 and woman, 28, both of Cleveland. Employees observed them put merchandise in their cart and go to a different department where the items, valued at $50.44 disappeared from sight. The missing merchandise was found in the woman’s oversized purse. Police charged both people with theft.
Crash, Haskins Road:
As a traffic light turned green a vehicle turned in front of oncoming cars causing a driver to suddenly apply her brakes. The sudden stop caused two vehicles behind her to crash into each other. A vehicle driven by a Chesterland girl, 16, struck the car in front of her driven by a Bainbridge Township man, 82. EMS transported the girl to a hospital for suspected minor injuries. Officers cited her for failure to keep an assured clear distance from other vehicles.
